Kenneth L. Cheloha has built an esteemed career spanning several decades in accounting, manufacturing, and business leadership. As a former chief operating officer of American Tool Company, he played a pivotal role in the company’s success from 1985 to 2007. His journey with the company began in 1979 when it operated as Petersen Manufacturing Company, where he served as a certified public accountant (CPA) before transitioning into executive leadership.
A dedicated business strategist, Mr. Cheloha’s expertise lies in financial management, corporate acquisitions, and the expansion of manufacturing and retail operations. His academic foundation includes a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting with a minor in finance and English, followed by a master’s degree in business, completed in 1969.
Even in retirement, Mr. Cheloha remains actively involved in business endeavors. He is a founding member and partner of CrossRoads Shooting Sports in Des Moines, Iowa, which he helped establish in 2014. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Hand Tools Institute, and the American Hardware Manufacturers Association.
