Kristine Joan Dyer, MSN, FNP, is a seasoned healthcare leader with 27 years of experience spanning neonatal intensive care, neuro, cardiac, open-heart, and trauma care for pediatric and adult patients. As a nocturnist nurse practitioner at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford since 2016 and a nurse practitioner at CHI Memorial Hospital since 2021, Ms. Dyer has established herself as a cornerstone of patient care and nursing leadership.
In addition to her clinical roles, Ms. Dyer has been a nurse practitioner with TeamHealth since 2014 and an adjunct faculty member at Tusculum University since 2017, where she inspires and mentors aspiring healthcare professionals. Her extensive career also includes impactful roles at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, TakeCare Health Systems, and Premier Surgical Associates.
Ms. Dyer’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pensacola Christian College (1998) and a Master of Science in Nursing with a certification as a family nurse practitioner from Carson-Newman University (2008). She is an active member of the East Tennessee Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Society of Hospital Medicine, reflecting her dedication to advancing the field of nursing and healthcare.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Ms. Dyer enjoys kayaking, gardening, gourmet cooking, and writing. She looks forward to furthering her education by pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Her ultimate goal is to inspire and shape the next generation of healthcare providers as a professor, leaving a lasting legacy in nursing education and leadership.
