A renowned chemical engineer, Mr. Tharp has fluorination processes, pulp paper manufacturing processes, and fluorine generation processes. He currently serves as the Director of Engineering at Advance Research Chemicals committed to their mission of offering the highest standard of customer-focused solutions to basic and advanced chemical garnered 58 years of professional experience and vast expertise in uranium conversion and hydro fluorination processes applications.

Among his professional experiences, Mr. Tharp began his career at the International Paper Company in Pine Bluff AR, ascending from an engineer to a paper mill manager, from 1963 to 1969. He later worked for the Kerr-McGee Nuclear Corporation as a project engineer and a senior process engineer between 1969 and 1986. Thereafter, Mr. Tharp served with the Sequoyah Fuels Corporation as a production manager from 1986 to 1988, a process engineering manager from 1988 to 1989, a senior process engineering manager from 1989 to 1991, an engineering department manager from 1991 to 1993 and a senior staff engineer from 1993 to 1995. Furthermore, Mr. Tharp thrived as a chemical engineer for Babcock Wilcox from 1996 to 1998, and Georgia Pacific from 1998 to 2015. Since 2015, he has excelled as the Director of Engineering at Advance Research Chemicals Inc. Holding patents for fluorine generation process systems and has contributed research to the development of a nitrous oxide emissions control process.

An academic scholar, Mr. Tharp initially earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Tulsa in 1963. Subsequently, Mr. Tharp furthered his academic efforts with a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University in 1991.

To stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments, Mr. Tharp has maintained active memberships and affiliations with the Lions Club, the American Chemical Engineering, and the American Chemical Society. He is also involved with the Boy Scouts of America, with which he has achieved Eagle Scouts Status.
