Roswell, GA — Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Maia A. Gaither, MD, is honored as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her exceptional contributions to integrative pediatric care and her pioneering vision for children’s health.

Dr. Maia A. Gaither is redefining what it means to truly care for children. As the founder and Medical Director of Greater Atlanta Integrative Pediatrics (GAIP), she brings over 25 years of clinical expertise, academic excellence, and whole-person philosophy to every patient encounter — guiding children and young adults from birth through age 21, and welcoming patients with complex and special needs through age 30. Her practice stands as one of the Greater Atlanta region’s foremost destinations for families seeking thoughtful, root-cause-focused, and relationship-centered pediatric care.
Dr. Gaither’s approach is grounded in the belief that genuine pediatric medicine goes far beyond treating symptoms. At GAIP, she and her team of five board-certified providers weave together conventional pediatric medicine with evidence-based functional and integrative strategies — including advanced nutritional support, IV infusion therapies, gut health optimization, lifestyle guidance, and individualized care planning — to address the full spectrum of a child’s physical, emotional, and developmental well-being.
As a special-needs mom herself, Dr. Gaither brings a deeply personal understanding to the care of children with complex neurodevelopmental and chronic conditions, creating a judgment-free, collaborative environment where families are encouraged to bring their questions, research, and instincts.
Her educational foundation reflects both excellence and purpose. Dr. Gaither earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the renowned Howard University, where she also completed her Doctor of Medicine. She went on to complete her clinical residency training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), one of the nation’s premier pediatric institutions, where she developed deep expertise in working with diverse, medically complex pediatric populations.
Following her training, Dr. Gaither built an impressive clinical career serving as an Attending Physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles before bringing her expertise to Atlanta, where she now serves on staff at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). Under the GAIP umbrella, she also serves as Principal Investigator on an autism stem cell research study — underscoring her commitment not only to serving today’s patients but to pioneering tomorrow’s solutions for children and families navigating complex developmental and neurological conditions. Dr. Gaither is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and is MAPS (Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs) Certified, reflecting her specialized training in integrative and functional approaches to pediatric care. Her practice has been recognized as a Best of 2025 Pediatrician by the My Roswell / Crabapple community, and GAIP serves families across Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, Johns Creek, Sandy Springs, and the broader Greater Atlanta area.
Looking ahead, Dr. Gaither is focused on expanding her reach through community workshops, health education initiatives, and events designed to elevate children’s wellness across the region. Her mission is clear and unwavering: to build a practice — and a community — where every child receives the individualized, unhurried, whole-child care they deserve.
