Margaret Hayworth, RN, BSHW, MSN, CDN, has dedicated her nursing career to improving the lives of dialysis patients through clinical excellence, compassionate care, and a commitment to collaboration. Now serving as Charge Nurse II within a clinical outpatient dialysis unit, Ms. Hayworth oversees patient care operations while helping patients achieve their wellness goals. Her leadership style is rooted in strong teamwork, open communication with medical professionals, and active listening to patient needs.
With over two decades of nursing experience, Ms. Hayworth brings a wealth of clinical and administrative knowledge to her new role. She began her nursing journey with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Randolph Community College in 1999, later earning a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness from Kaplan University and completing a combined BSN/MSN through Western Governors University. She is a Certified Dialysis Nurse through the Nephrology Nurses Credentialing Center.
Ms. Hayworth is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Nephrology Nurses Association, the American Holistic Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and the Golden Key Society. Throughout her career, she has made lasting contributions to patient care, including developing a dialysis program from the ground up during her time at Randolph Health. While at Fresenius, she facilitated a collaborative initiative with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to help define criteria for transplant eligibility among dialysis patients—demonstrating her commitment to innovation and better patient outcomes.
Margaret credits her success to the guidance of her mentor, Anne Brown, RN, and the support of her family. In loving memory of her mother, Ruby Davis, CNA, she honors the foundation of caregiving instilled in her from a young age. She also acknowledges the enduring encouragement of her two aunts and extended family.
Looking ahead, Ms. Hayworth plans to continue advancing dialysis care through mentorship, clinical leadership, and advocacy for stronger collaboration in the healthcare field. Her passion for nursing, patient well-being, and professional development remains at the heart of everything she does.
