Michael W. Gillum, a highly respected licensed psychologist, has devoted his career to advocating for children who have been victims of abuse and sexual abuse. Currently serving as a clinical supervisor of mental health programs for children and adolescents within a school system, he plays a crucial role in developing and overseeing programs that provide critical support to at-risk youth. His expertise extends beyond school settings, as he also conducts psychological evaluations for parents accused of abuse or neglect by Child Protection Services, court-mandated evaluations for criminal cases, and psychological assessments for police candidates.
With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Millersville University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Mansfield University, Mr. Gillum has accumulated over 3,000 hours of psychological supervision and is a board-certified psychologist. His career accomplishments include serving as a consulting psychologist in the high-profile Jerry Sandusky sex abuse case. He chronicled his experience in the book Silent No More: Victim One’s Fight for Justice Against Jerry Sandusky, which sheds light on the complexities of abuse cases and the fight for justice.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Gillum is deeply involved in advocacy work. As the founder of the Silent No More Foundation, he provides support and resources to children who have survived sexual abuse. His commitment extends internationally through his active participation with the Canadian Center for Missing and Exploited Children and his role on the Children’s Council for the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Additionally, he serves as the Chair of the Public Information Committee for the Pennsylvania Psychological Association and is a member of the American Psychological Association.
