Humble, TX – Miles E. Mahan, MD, FACOG, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Obstetrics/Gynecologist in the field of Medicine as the Army Reserve OB/GYN Consultant to the Army Surgeon General, and has served many years as Chief of OB/GYN at Memorial Hermann Northeast Medical Center.

He specializes in laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive procedures, high risk obstetrics, incontinence, and hormonal care for pre and post-menopausal patients. He sees patients age 13 and older and has office staff that speaks Spanish and English.
With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Mahan is a patient-preferred OB/GYN in Houston/Harris County. He addresses the entirety of patients’ health concerns, always ready to listen and provide answers.
In addition to his role at his practice, he serves in the Army Reserves, and has deployed overseas on several occasions. He has served with a Forward Surgical Team in Afghanistan as a Combat Surgeon. His experiences have greatly influenced his skills in handling medical emergencies. As a reservist, COL Mahan continues to serve not only as the consultant, but also as the Command Surgeon for the US Army Reserves Southwest Region including; Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California.
Dr. Mahan graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington BS in Biology in 1988, and Texas Tech School of Medicine with an MD in 1992, Upon graduation, he was awarded the outstanding student of the year in obstetrics and gynecology. His post graduate education in Obstetrics and Gynecology, was obtained at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, and at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. His accomplishments include also serving as the Residency Coordinator at Darnall Army Community Hospital before entering private practice in 1999. He has completed specialized training in DaVinci Robotic Surgery for OB/GYN’s, as well as certification in specialized bladder and prolapse repair.
A frontrunner in his field, Dr. Mahan is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also is an active member of his community, as a member of the American Legion, and Second Baptist Church in Houston. His wife Susan of 31 years and their 3 children have supported all his efforts in his medical and military career.
