Dr. Sonke pursued higher education at Erasmus Medical School in Rotterdam Netherlands in 1985. He completed a two- year fellowship in cancer research in Rijswijk and Amsterdam Holland, which focused in radiation biology, and has worked with Kankerbestrijding (KWF) and Dutch Cancer Society.
