Rickey Chavez is a mission driven real estate professional whose life and career reflect a deep commitment to service, leadership, and community. A retired United States Army veteran with more than twenty years of honorable service, Rickey continued his legacy of leadership in the private sector, spending fifteen years in Human Resources and ultimately retiring in 2016 as the Director of Human Resources and Contractor Resources for DICOM Transportation Group in Boston. In 2017, he launched his real estate career and quickly rose as a top producing agent before forming The Rickey Chavez Team in 2019. Today, his team is recognized for its diversity, professionalism, and client first approach, collectively speaking seven languages and serving families across the Greater Houston area in residential, commercial, farm, and ranch real estate.

Each episode highlights meaningful lessons in resilience, purpose, and personal growth. As the program continues to expand, Rickey remains dedicated to bringing viewers uplifting dialogue, practical resources, and stories that encourage them to pursue their own goals.
Rickey is also developing impactful future projects. He is currently writing a book designed to guide new Realtors through their first ninety days in the industry, offering real world insights, proven strategies, and encouragement for long term success. Alongside his wife, he supports a dog rescue organization and they are launching a companion nonprofit that will train rescued dogs to become service and support animals for veterans and first responders. This initiative reflects Rickey’s devotion to community, service, and lasting impact.
Family is central to Rickey’s life. He and his wife will celebrate their thirtieth wedding anniversary in January of 2026. Together they share a blended family with one son and three daughters, all now raising families of their own. As of November 2025, they welcomed their eleventh grandchild and are anticipating two more in 2026. The Chavez family proudly represents four generations of military service. His grandfather served, his father retired, Rickey retired after two decades of service, and his son is set to retire next year. Both his son and his son in law will also be retiring from military service in the coming years, carrying forward the family’s tradition of dedication and sacrifice.
Outside of his professional and service commitments, Rickey enjoys meaningful pastimes that keep him grounded. He spends time playing dominoes with friends, watching sports, and enjoying quality time with his loved ones. He is an avid traveler and has explored destinations across the globe. He marks each place he visits on his scratch off maps of the United States and the world while planning his next journeys. Among all the destinations he has experienced, Munich during the Christmas Market season remains his favorite for its warm atmosphere and timeless charm.
