Her early career included work as a family physician in Toronto, where she practiced in a multidisciplinary medical setting and served as Chief of Family Practice at a community hospital in Mississauga, Ontario. Transitioning into psychiatry, she completed her residency and fellowship in addiction and group therapy at the University of Toronto, along with psychoanalytic training through the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society. She is board-certified in adult psychiatry with an added qualification in addiction psychiatry.
Since 2014, she has served as a Senior Medical Director at a large national managed care company, bringing expertise in the Medicaid and Commercial space, where she oversaw a team of Medical Directors and provided clinical consultation in her areas of expertise.
