A colorectal surgeon is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of anorectal and colorectal conditions.
Dr. Adams was just 15 years old when his father had heart surgery, so he spent a lot of time around healthcare then, which led to his desire to help patients in the medical field.
