Ocean Springs, MS — Tod J. Fusia, MD, FACS, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pinnacle Urologist in the Medical field, acknowledging his work with Florida Urology Partners LLP. A board-certified urologist with 37 years of experience, Dr. Fusia is in practice at Florida Urology Partners LLP, where he has served the Tampa Bay area for 13 years. He specializes in invasive surgeries, microsurgery for vasectomy reversals, robotic surgery, urinary control (incontinence), kidney stone disease, male infertility, and urologic oncology.
Urology also known as genitourinary surgery is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands.

Educated in the United States, Dr. Fusia graduated from Allegheny College with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, minoring in biology and Spanish. He earned his medical degree (M.D.) from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He served his residency in general surgery and urology at University of Virginia Health Sciences Center.
The doctor is affiliated as a member with the: American Urological Association, including the Southeast chapter and Florida Urological Society. Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality safe and ethical urologic care.
Among his professional affiliations, Dr. Fusia maintains hospital privileges at St. Joseph’s Main Hospital, St. Joseph’s North Hospital, St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital of Tampa, Tampa General Hospital, Tampa Community Hospital, AdventHealth Carrollwood, and AdventHealth Wesley Chapel.
Dr. Fusia served in the United States Air Force for six years achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was the Chief of Urology at the Keesler Air Force Base.
As for his academic appointments, Dr. Fusia is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Department of Urology.
Among his various accolades, Dr. Fusia has been the recipient of the Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015, 2013) and Patients’ Choice Award (2014, 2013, and 2008).
Outside work, the doctor supports the American Cancer Society as a volunteer and is an active member of Christ the King Church. He also donates funds regularly to the State Police.
