Dr. Smith’s career is marked by significant technical and commercial achievements. Before his current role, he served as the vice president of technology for the Lithchem Energy Division at Retriev Technologies, Inc., where he played a key role in securing over 14 SBIR Phase I, II, and III program awards amounting to over $30M. He also contributed to groundbreaking research, including developing a process for producing lithium hexafluorophosphate. His leadership in technical writing has been instrumental in winning many two Department of Energy Proposal Awards.
Dr. Smith’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
