Guy Quigley – Executive Producer

Guy Quigley has built a diverse and distinguished career as an entrepreneur, executive producer, author, screenwriter, chief executive officer, and cattle rancher. As the owner of Thundersmoke Media, LLC, he has produced and executive produced several acclaimed projects, including the films Magic Boys, Breaking Wind, Wicked Blood, and the award-winning Lifetime Network production Remorse, later retitled Apparition. The film earned recognition at 13 festivals and received five additional award nominations. His most recent feature, Impuratus, starring the late Tom Sizemore, was released in 2023 and further solidified his presence in the film industry.

In addition to his media work, Mr. Quigley is a prolific author and screenwriter, credited with more than a dozen scripts and four novels. His latest literary achievement is The Thundering Smoke trilogy, a sweeping historical love and adventure saga that begins with the Irish War for Independence in 1919 and concludes three decades later in Africa. Mr. Quigley’s career achievements extend beyond media production, earning him recognition across multiple industries. He has been honored with the Summit Creative Bronze Award, a Silver Addy Award, and was a finalist for the Delaware Valley Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1997. His film projects have also received awards from the Christian Film Festival, International Independent Film Awards, Utah Film Festival, Action-Adventure Festival in Toronto, and the South Carolina Underground Film Festival.

Educated in Ireland at CBS, Mr. Quigley attributes his success to the mentorship of his father and father-in-law. With 40 years of experience in business and production, he continues to expand his impact as both a creative and executive force.

He formed The Quigley Corporation in 1989, filed an S-18 registration and the company became a public entity on February 7, 1991, trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol (QGLY). He successfully developed and marketed the cold remedy zinc product under the franchise name Cold-Eeze, establishing the United States zinc-lozenge marketplace. The product continues to remain on the shelves of most outlets in the United States to this day. He lost the company in a bitter proxy fight and resigned from the company he created after twenty years as President/CEO on June 12, 2009. TQC (QGLY) was the most heavily shorted stock on Nasdaq for two years.
Update: Recently it has been discovered that a variation of the secret lozenge formulation can assist patients suffering with Barrett’s Esophagus, which leads to cancer of the esophagus. The research was conducted by the renowned Philadelphia Lankenau Institute of Medical Research who have lodged and has been issued a “use patent.” Guy Quigley has filed and received a “formulation patent.”
