A 1992 graduate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Allen M. Chernoff is a board-certified urologist currently practicing for 28 years. He has devoted the past 12 years to providing quality comprehensive care at Metro Chicago Surgical Oncology, where they offer the most advanced surgical and non-surgical treatments for urology conditions affecting both men and women. As a urologic oncological surgeon, Dr. Chernoff’s medical interests include minimally invasive treatments for urologic disease, with specific specialization in the application of robotic techniques for both prostate and kidney surgery. In his current capacity, he offers the most advanced surgical and non-surgical treatments for urology conditions affecting both men and women.
In light of his academic achievements, Dr. Chernoff completed his two-year surgical residency and four years of urology residency at SUNY- Downstate in New York City. After completing his residency, he completed a two-year Urologic Oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda Maryland. To further his professional development, Dr. Chernoff is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU).
Throughout his distinguished medical career, Dr. Chernoff has excelled in various leadership positions. In 2000, he joined the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center as the Chief of Minimally Invasive Urology, as well as the Director of Resident Education from 2005 to 2007.
Remaining aware of the latest advancements in his field, Dr. Chernoff maintains active affiliations with the Society for Urologic Oncology, Society for Minimally Invasive Urology, Society of Robotic Surgery, American Urologic Association, and the Chicago Urologic Association. Always striving for excellence, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a prominent member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and the Society of Urologic Oncology.
