With over 25 years of clinical experience as a nephrologist, Dr. Gupta continues to be a leader in the community. Patients are routinely referred to him by primary care physicians in order to treat issues related to kidney disease, high blood pressure, and various metabolic disorders. In addition to his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease, Dr. Gupta and his staff offer assisted home- hemodialysis to all patients, as well as in-center hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis with private rooms on site. Beyond his leadership at Crown Dialysis Center, Dr. Gupta also serves as medical director of both DaVita’s Advanced Dialysis Center in Oakland Park, FL as well as Florida Kidney and Hypertension Care.
After earning his Medical Degree in Rajasthan, India, Dr. Gupta came to the United States to pursue a residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon completion of this program, he went on to complete fellowship training in Nephrology & Hypertension at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY, and Renal Transplant Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, NY. Over time, he became an active member of multiple professional organizations including the American Society of Nephrology and Renal Physicians Association (RPA). Presently Dr. Gupta serves as a board member of the Broward County Medical Association and is a former President of the Indian Physicians of South Florida. Dr. Gupta is committed to advancing the field of nephrology, as a frequent contributor to the national kidney foundation. He has more than thirty-five manuscript publications, 2 book chapters, a nephrology textbook, and multiple dialysis catheter patents to his credit.
During his free time, Dr. Gupta enjoys spending time with his wife, Achala, and sons, Mohit and Anmol. He is grateful for all of their love and support over the years. Dr. Gupta is also highly appreciative of mentorship from Dr. Ratnu, Dr. Charytan, to whom he attributes much of his success.
