One of his standout accomplishments is his recognition by the American Concrete Institute for his outstanding concrete work at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, Oregon, a testament to his dedication to architectural excellence.
Mr. Matschek’s journey in the architectural world has been diverse and accomplished. He has worked both in the United States and abroad, representing MYP Maquetas in Jalisco, Mexico, as their North American Consultant for over two decades. Charles has held various positions in architecture, construction, and project management throughout his illustrious career.
His dedication to the profession is further underscored by his educational achievements. Charles Matschek holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Oregon, is a registered architect with the California Architects Board, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He also holds the prestigious LEED Green Associate certification.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Charles is deeply committed to architectural advocacy. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Friends of Timberline and is an active member of the Friends of the Historic Columbia River Highway. He is also passionate about amateur sports car racing and volunteers as a high-performance driving instructor for the Cascade Sports Car Club, sharing his expertise with fellow enthusiasts.
