Shreveport, LA — Cheryl R. Known in her field as a diligent and hard-working individual, Ms. Cheryl Caskey has worked for over three decades in medical laboratory science. As a Compliance Officer at Delta Pathology Group LLC, Omega Diagnostics LLC, and Pathology Resource Network, she conducts audits to guarantee compliance with HIPAA and OIG standards, reviewing records and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
In pursuit of higher education, Ms. Caskey earned a Master of Arts in Management & Supervision from Central Michigan University in 1978. Upon completion, her career steadily took off as she began to receive promotions in Medical Laboratory Science in management and ultimately in her current position as Compliance Officer.
To remain abreast in her field, Ms. Caskey maintains an active affiliation with the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) and the Louisiana State Society for Clinical Laboratory Science. Furthermore, she has served as the editor for ASCLS Today, the ASCLS official newsletter, and as president of ASCLS. During her time as president of the ASCLS, Ms. Caskey made it a priority to promote diversity among the leadership team, advocating for equity and inclusion among the organization’s members with new initiatives and efforts.
During her career, Ms. Caskey has been awarded for her outstanding work in ASCLS with the Distinguished Author Award, the Robin H. Mendelson Memorial Award, the Joseph J. Kleiner Award, The Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Outstanding Service Award.
