His commitment to excellence is reflected in his extensive education and training, which includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and math from Emory University, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, specialized training through a General surgical residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and a Fellowship in breast oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center. The doctor is also certified by the American Osteopathic Association in General Surgery and has BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications.
His illustrious career is punctuated with numerous leadership roles, including his role as Director of Breast Institute since January 2024; breast surgeon and system director of breast surgery at Christ Hospital since November 2021; director of breast surgery at Emu Health from March 2021; and director of breast surgery at the Surgical Specialist of Greater NY from February 2021. He has also served in numerous positions during his career including attending surgeon, surgical leader of Breast Cancer program at BronxCare Health System, being a Cancer Liaison Physician through the American College of Surgeons, and has joined Astera Cancer Care in New Jersey, as a breast surgical oncologist.

Dr. Sachs’s dedication to women’s health extends beyond the operating room. He is a NASM-certified fitness trainer and health coach, emphasizing a holistic approach to patient care. The doctor is also a renowned author with more than 10 peer-reviewed journal articles; 7 professional poster presentations; and editor/chapter author of 5 books.

The doctor continues to take every opportunity to learn more and advance his scope of services by attending conferences and specific training programs such as the 2018 Fellows Institute (SSO) focused on Breast Surgical Oncology in Houston, Texas; the Leadership Skills Training Program at the American College of Surgeons in Philadelphia, PA; the 2017 Pacific Northwest Vascular Society Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregan; and the 2017 Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Surgeons at National Harbor, Maryland.

Throughout his career, Dr. Sachs has been inspired and guided by mentors such as Dr. Panagiotis Manolas and Dr. Richard Bleicher, whose expertise has shaped his approach to patient care. He also finds satisfaction in service to others and is involved with the Overseas Medical Assistance Team (OMAT) through Crudem Foundation Inc./Hospital Sacre Coeur, Milot Haiti. In this role, Dr. Sachs performed comprehensive surgical care to the Haitian natives and assisted the local community with general medical care. The doctor is also a staunch supporter of community health initiatives such as Unite for HER-Wellness Day where he educates patients on the benefits of complementary therapies and helps create personal plans for incorporating these valuable tools into their treatment and recovery which may include acupuncture, massage, reiki, and yoga/meditation.

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Sachs finds support and joy in his family life, being married to Mrs. Jeanette Haslett since 2018 and having one child. He is interested in fitness, cooking and baking, traveling, and sketching.
