Maple Lane, MN— Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, David S. Kittok is acknowledged as a Top Pinnacle Professional for his contributions to the field of Industrial Automation.
Mr. Kittok prepared for his career earning a diploma for Fluid Power Technology from Hennepin Technical College, and after graduation, was a part-time instructor for the school. The businessman also passed certification to earn a Fluid Power Specialist title.
Mr. Kittok is the owner of Height Technology LLC and has more than 20 years of experience in the field. He is a controls engineer and fluid power specialist and focuses his efforts on fixing issues that arise with control systems as well as designing these systems; AutoCad drawings of their schematics and programming the PLCs (Programmable Logic Controleer); VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives); and operator interfaces of many varieties.
Mr. Kittok’s asserts that his most extensive work is at 3M Center at the Central Utility Plant in Maplewood, Minnesota and he has been involved from the beginning with SCADA (Supervisory, Control and Data Acquisition) known as Wonderware; Archestra; and Intouch. He explained that the system has grown to 4 data acquisition servers and 10 Intouch (the visual part of the software package) computers used by the operators with over 450 individual screens. The system also has two Visual Designer computers for backup.
The businessman extensive experience in the field is due to his tenure at many prestigious companies, including Kittok Dairy; Qx Inc; Precision Engineering; Tool Products; Eagle Tool and Design; and Sterling Automation. Mr. Kittok established Height Technology in 2005 and boasts a plethora of customers, including 3M Center (3M Central Utilities, 3M Data Center, 3M Research 3M Minerals Division; 3M Plant engineering + others); CP Rail; Nordic Ware; Evoqua; Simoneau and Sterling; University of Minnesota; FSI (now Tokyo Electron); Methodist Hospital; St Jude Medical; Toro; Tomah, WI; Heartland Farms; Hancock WI; A+ Machining; Cornell, WI; and many others.
Aside from his professional pursuits, Mr. Kittok is married to Kristie and enjoys spending time with his four children and four grandchildren and notes that they are also expecting another grandchild. He likes to grow plants (flower garden, fruit trees); enjoys animals and has one cat and many koi fish. Mr. Kittok also has a love and passion for learning things and asserts that almost everything interests him. The Kittoks have been involved in church ministry for many years, covering almost anything there was to do as a volunteer. David’s favorite was telling Bible stories to children at VBS and AWANA club for 18 years, his second favorite was Bible quizzing.
Mr. Kittok points out that the saying goes, “Behind every good man is a good woman” and he heartily thanks his wife of 47 years, Kristie. He also thanks God for blessing the work of his hands and is inspired by the Biblical verse in Colossians 3:23: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.
