Located in Rochelle Park and Montville, the private practices of Dr. Elizabeth Liu offers expert, caring family practice services to all age groups. Services include annual checkups, women’s health, outpatient procedures, vaccinations, and recommendations for diet, exercise, and weight loss. She commonly treats cardiovascular, pulmonary, nephrology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, dermatology, and rheumatology conditions. In acknowledgment of academic success, Dr. Liu earned a Doctorate of Medicine from China’s Guangzhou Medical College in 1988. After she moved to the United States, she attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, earning a Doctorate of Philosophy in neurosciences in 1998. She remained at the university for a residency program in family medicine. Since, she has gained board certification in family medicine and holds CPR, ACLS, and PALS certificates.

A frontrunner in her field, Dr. Liu maintains affiliations with Hackensack University Medical Center and Saint Claire’s Health System in New Jersey. Devoted to patient care, she was recognized in the 2007 Cambridge Who’s Who.

Outside of work, Dr. Liu practices tennis, tai chi, and karate; she is a blue belt. She enjoys singing and hiking.

Dr. Liu advices new medical professionals to, “Love what you do. Be dedicated. Be the best you can be.” She has leveraged herself as a successful physician because she never stops and she never says that she has done enough; she is very self-driven.

Dr. Liu’s greatest inspiration was her director and mentor Dr. Martha Lansing, an extraordinary family medicine physician, cardiologist Dr. Robert Wang, and internal medicine physician Dr. Henry Shaoli Chen.
