In addition to his leadership at Valitor, Mr. Kunst serves as Executive Chairman of Biomimetix and CynosBio, Chairman of Feliqs, and Board Member of Pr3vent and SIME Diagnostics. Before joining Valitor, Mr. Kunst served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Board Member of Aurion Biotech, beginning in 2021. During his tenure, he played a significant role in securing $132 million in funding to support the company’s development initiatives, including innovative cell therapy approaches addressing corneal blindness. His leadership contributed to the advancement of promising technologies intended to address unmet medical needs.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Kunst played an instrumental role in expanding Glaukos Corporation’s revenue from its early stages to approximately $300 million while helping establish the company’s presence in more than 20 countries. These accomplishments reflect his ability to guide business expansion, develop international markets, and support the commercialization of innovative medical technologies.
Mr. Kunst earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Brigham Young University in 2002 and his Master of Business Administration in General Management and Strategy from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management in 2006. He further strengthened his executive expertise through the Novartis Advance Program in Strategy and Communications at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business in 2014 and the M2 Leadership Program at Novartis in 2013.
