Dr. Terrence A. Gilbert, a distinguished critical care physician, specializes in ICU medicine and has made significant contributions to the field through his expertise in managing critically ill patients with a focus on treating life-threatening illness from Cardiovascular Disease, Infections, Chronic Respiratory Disease, Neurodegenerative Disorders and Critical Illness due to Traumatic Injury. Dr. Gilbert Strives to be at the forefront of providing state of the art, comprehensive care for his patients with Multi-System Organ Injury and Failure facing imminent death.

Dr. Gilbert earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/Mercy Hospital and pursued a fellowship in critical care medicine at UPMC. Dr. Gilbert is board certified in both internal medicine and critical care medicine, reflecting his extensive training and expertise.

His career is marked by significant contributions to the advancement of care for hospitalized patients, developing innovative models allowing patients to receive the most highly advanced, comprehensive, evidence-based medical care available today. Currently serving as the Associate Medical Director for Intensive Care at Sound Physicians in Steubenville, Ohio. Dr. Gilbert also owns and leads his own personal practice, Executive Medical, LLC in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania focusing on Functional, Preventative and Anti-Aging Medicine utilizing the most current, Scientifically Advanced Modalities and Therapies helping people to achieve their optimal Heath and Longevity. His previous positions include ICU Medical Director at hospitals throughout Ohio and West Virginia, most notably WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital Intensive Care Unit where he pioneered and developed the hospitals first Multi Disciplinary Critical Care Program led by Board-Certified Critical Care Specialists and Allied Health Professionals trained specifically for the care of Critically Ill and Injured Patients.

Dr. Gilbert is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Society of Critical Care Medicine, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, American Osteopathic Medical Association, American Academy of Anti-Aging and the Institute for Functional Medicine. His contributions to critical care medicine extend beyond clinical practice; he drives strategic initiatives to enhance critical care processes and improve patient outcomes.
