Greenwood Village, CO – Isaac R. Melamed, MD, is being recognized by The Inner Circle as an Immunologist of the Year 2023-2024 in the medical field and for his work with the IMMUNOe Research Centers.
Dr. Melamed earned a Doctorate of Medicine degree from the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Medicine, in Jerusalem. He completed a Fellowship in the Division of Immunology & Allergy at the Hospital for Sick Children, in Toronto, Canada, followed by a second Fellowship at the Division of Basic Sciences at the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine.
Dr. Melamed is a leader in the field of immunology, having spent more than 40 years in practice and researching immune-related disease, primary and secondary immune deficiency, and the crosstalk between the immune system and the central nervous system. He seeks to detect diseases in their earliest and most treatable stages to achieve optimal health for his patients.
The doctor has published more than 200 papers and has presented and lectured across the United States and abroad. He was honored with awards from the Clinical Immunology Society in 2002, and the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology (AAAI) in 1993. He received honorable recognition from the AAAI in 1991, as well as the Tisdale Award for Excellence in Research in 1990.
According to Dr. Melamed, the IMMUNOe Research Centers are at the forefront of immune-related health and research and offer innovative research methods and treatment philosophies, resulting in superior research outcomes and varied treatment options for patients. Instead of treating only the symptoms of immune-related conditions, the center aims to address the origin of immune-related conditions. Dr. Melamed has worked at the Centers since 1995.
