Jeffrey E. Indes, MD, FACS — Vascular Surgeon

Bronx, NY — Jeffrey E. Indes, MD, FACS, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Healthcare Professional in the medical field for his work as a Vascular Surgeon at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Indes received a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and molecular genetics from the University of California at Los Angeles. He earned his medical degree (MD) at the ICAHN School of Medicine, Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He completed his residency in general surgery at Temple University in Philadelphia. The doctor undertook fellowship training in vascular surgery, which he completed at Montefiore Medical Center.  He is board certified in general and vascular surgery.

Dr. Indes previously taught at Yale University and now teaches medical students, residents, and fellows at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. According to Dr. Indes, Albert Einstein School of Medicine is a research-intensive medical school located in the Morris Park neighborhood of the Bronx in New York City. He performs surgery at Montefiore Medical Center for aneurysms and carotid artery disease, and is also involved in research regarding vascular outcomes. Montefiore Medical Center is a premier academic medical center and the primary teaching hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Indes specializes in disorders relating to the arterial-venous and lymphatic systems. He diagnoses and treats vascular diseases and performs vascular surgeries. The doctor notes that common conditions that a vascular surgeon treats are aneurysms, atherosclerosis, and varicose veins. Vascular specialists might also treat trauma venous ulcers, poor leg circulation, peripheral arterial disease, and other vascular-related issues.

Dr. Indes is a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the Eastern Vascular Society, the New England Society of Vascular Surgery, and the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

In his spare time, Dr. Indes volunteers and helps to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The doctor is a leukemia survivor and has two sons.
