Being in the field of cardiology with 23 years’ experience, Dr. Elder has experience with Coronary Intervention, treatment of acute heart attacks, treatments of both submassive & massive pulmonary embolisms. In which he studied for in a designated program called PERT Pulmonary Embolism Responsive Team, and Peripheral artery disease. Additionally, Dr. Elder has performed extensive research on endovascular procedures and complex vascular cases making him a highly requested speaker at international and national medical conferences.
To advance into the realm of Cardiology, Dr. Elder attended medical school at the American University earning his Medical Degree. After medical school he completed his residency and participated in and internship at Wayne State of Detroit, Michigan. His involvement in his practice has honored him with awards like Teacher of the Year and Mentor of the Year, Crain’s Healthcare Hero, Hour Magazine’s Top Doctor, and has earned a People’s Choice Award for Compassionate Doctor Recognition.
