Owen Palm — Distinguished Executive

Scottsbluff, NE — Owen Palm is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Executive for his work in the Agricultural Farm Equipment Supply field, and in acknowledgment of his work at 21st Century Equipment LLC.

Mr. Palm has dedicated his 30-year-long career to providing preeminent agricultural solutions across Western Nebraska, Northeastern Colorado, and Eastern Wyoming. He is passionate about serving farming communities, and providing excellent quality John Deere equipment as the President and CEO of 21st Century Equipment, LLC. He has many years of experience in creating solutions and working on data-driven projects to make farming easier.

He sells both new and used farm, lawn, garden, construction, and landscaping equipment. The company also offers replacement parts and repair services, for machines that require maintenance. Mr. Palm enjoys showing customers the wide variety of John Deere tractors, loaders, cutters, shredders, seeding equipment, mowers, sprayers and applicators, and more, available at 21st Century storefronts. Having grown over the years through acquisitions and mergers, he has increased the company from one location to sixteen. There are now seven Nebraska locations, eight Colorado locations, and one Wyoming location, for customers to visit and view the line of tractors. 

One of his proudest achievements is his role in overseeing a statewide business initiative, which led to improvements in the economic activity across the state of Nebraska.

To begin his college education, Mr. Palm completed Physics coursework at Saint John’s University from 1971-1973. He then attended college at the South Dakota School of Mines, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering in 1975.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Palm worked as the Vice President of Operations at Tate and Lyle PLC – The Western Sugar Company from 1989-2000. He established 21st Centrury Equipment LLC in Alliance, NE, in 1996.

Throughout his career, he has been involved with multiple local organizations. He was formerly the President of the Nature Conservancy – Nebraska chapter, a former Trustee of Chadron State College, a trustee on the Foundation Board of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and the co-chair of the Statewide Business Initiative of Blueprint Nebraska.

Honored and awarded for his work, he was inducted into the Nebraska State Chamber of Business Hall of Fame in 2019, and the Nebraska Hall of Agricultural Achievement in 2021. He attributes his success to his years of experience in negotiation, business planning, team building, and operations management.

Mr. Palm would like to dedicate this honorable recognition to his wife of 43 years, Karen L. Palm.
