Great Falls, VA — Peggy L. S. Peters is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Executive for her excellent work in the Wealth Management field and in recognition of her work at UBS Financial Services – The Peters Beck Financial Group.
As a respected professional with over 45 years in the financial industry, Ms. Peters excels at management, wealth management, and a variety of fiscal services. Ms. Peters has dedicated her career to UBS Financial Services, beginning at the company in 2000 as the Senior Vice President of Wealth Management. Ms. Peters has thrived in this role for many years, bringing decades of industry wisdom and experience to the position.
Ms. Peters didn’t initially intend to work in the Finance sector. She originally studied Psychology, graduating with Honors from the University of Wisconsin. She has additionally taken the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination in 1979, and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination in 1991. Ms. Peters is proud to be the first woman in her family to attend college.
After graduating, Ms. Peters accepted a job working for Solana Studios and Outboard Marine Corp. (OMC) in 1970, taking on a managerial role supervising the Marketing Department. She then accepted a position with Relocation Realty in 1973, where she worked as a Real Estate Broker.
In 1975, Ms. Peters packed her bags and relocated to Washington, DC. She was offered a job by Prudential Bache, which she accepted in 1975. During her time at Prudential Bache, Ms. Peters modeled for an advertisement for the firm, an honor which made her realize her true potential as a broker.
After seven years of gaining experience in Investment Brokerage at Prudential Bache, she took on her next career opportunity at Paine Webber, beginning in 1982. Ms. Peters joined the company as a Retirement Planning Consultant. Paine Webber merged with UBS Financial Services Inc. in 2000, and Ms. Peters moved into an executive role, gaining the title of Senior Vice President of Wealth Management. Through five company mergers, she widened her area of expertise from the American market to a more international worldview, gaining knowledge and information about worldwide market trends.
She has flourished in this executive role because she is a people person who likes working one-on-one with clients and coworkers. Ms. Peters manages her clients’ stocks and bonds, using her years of experience to create and enact a plan that is right for each client. She takes into consideration her client’s lifestyle, goals for retirement and for their future, and talks in detail about the current market options to maximize growth. Every client has unique needs – some are looking to leave a legacy to their children and grandchildren; others want to plan for a retirement full of vacations and relaxation; and some want to grow their wealth steadily over many years to prepare for whatever the future holds. Ms. Peters enjoys guiding her clients towards the future they’ve always dreamed of, with the peace of mind and security of knowing their wealth is in good hands.

She encountered unfair disadvantages, such as hiring discrimination and pay discrimination, through her early days. She has continuously fought to advance her own career and create a smoother path for women in the next generation who will pursue jobs in the fields of Finance and Wealth Management.
Active in her community, Ms. Peters is a member of Gamma Phi Beta, the Great Falls Swim and Tennis Club, and the Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club. She has recently been recognized for her professional excellence by Who’s Who among America’s Colleges, Who’s Who of American Women, and Marquis Who’s Who as a Top Executive. In the future, Ms. Peters looks forward to continuing to advance in the financial industry, and to continue to guide her clients for many more years to come.
On a personal note, Ms. Peters enjoys spending time with her son, Lee, and her friends, and family. She is an avid boater and jet-skier, and is especially fond of the Chesapeake Bay area.
