As a well-seasoned and highly experienced security professional, Mr. Tillery has accrued 34 years of professional excellence in his field. He has gained a vast repertoire of experience and expertise in security, human and drug trafficking intervention, intelligence – cyber aspect, cyber and forensics. In his current capacity, he has devoted over three years serving as the CIO and the CSO at Spartan Corp, where he focuses on leading the company in Cyber Security, Cyber Forensics, Information Technology, Cyber Energy with oil and gas prominence across all industry sectors. . He utilizes his extensive and expertise to build his strategic focus on operational excellence, asset management, and capital projects programs that sustainably drive bottom-line impact for clients. In this role, he gained valuable experience working extensively across the globe with various energy companies and law enforcement agencies including the Department of Defense, Denver Police Department, The German Bundespolizei (Federal Police), in rail traffic, airports, ports, and several other special duties assessing, cybersecurity business transformations (including full cyber forensics, cybersecurity operational re-design), which resulted in greatly reducing risk exposure and savings, ranging from $5 million/year up to $500 million/year. For the future, he intends to grow the company further and to become a trusted advisor to other companies.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Tillery completed his undergraduate studies at Alameda University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2000. Following graduation, Mr. Tillery served on active duty in the United States Air Force for eight years, and in the Army Special Operations Forces, completing his duty after 25 years. With a commitment to excellence, he holds several certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) by (ISC)², Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) EC Council, Certified Digital Forensic Examiner (CDFE), and Certified Digital Media Collector (CDMC).
Remaining at the forefront of his field, Mr. Tilley keeps up-to-date with the latest developments. He maintains active memberships with International Information System Security Certification Consortium, or (ISC)². He is also a Corporate Distinguished Fellow at Boston Northeastern University.
When he is not working, Mr. Tillery enjoys spending time with her family and participating in outdoor activities.
