Led by Dr. Scott Spector, Spector Eye Care has been serving patients since 1989, and has continued to bring on additional ophthalmologists and acquiring the newest, state of the art technology to maximize their patients’ experience. The premier ophthalmology practice now has nine exam rooms, COVID-19 free and offers a wide range of services including more on-site procedures, such as floater laser removal, CellChek for endothelial cell counting, Pentacam for anterior segment tomography, Glaucoma Treatment, Contact Lenses, Dry Eye Treatment, Retina Conditions Treatment, Diabetic Eye Care, and more. As a well-seasoned, board-certified Ophthalmologist, Dr. Spector is also the Founder and Medical Director of Spector Eye Care and New Vision Cataract Center in Connecticut. He has devoted 31 years to providing the highest standard of Ophthalmologic care for patients who visits his practice. Renowned as a leader in minimally invasive “small incision, no needle, no stitch, no patch” using only “eyedrop anesthesia”, his vast repertoire of expertise includes Cataract & Refractive Surgery as well as the medical, laser and surgical treatment of Glaucoma. In his current capacity, he is committed to helping patients with Cataracts become independent of eyeglasses, reading glasses and bifocals. He is also well-known to be a dedicated LASIK surgeon who takes responsibility for providing support to his patients before, during and after their LASIK surgery.

Dr. Spector’s acclaimed career began he earned his medical degree through the combined 6-year medical program at the City College of New York and New York Medical College, followed by a completed internship program at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. Furthering his training, Dr. Spector went on to complete his Residency in Ophthalmology at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary as well as a Fellowship in Glaucoma at the University of Pennsylvania- Scheie Eye Institute. With a commitment to excellence, Dr. Spector is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
