Now semi-retired, Dr. Deeney has accrued 59 years of professional excellence as a general and child psychiatrist. He is currently serving patients at Hoyt Street Physicians, a medical practice located in Portland, Oregon. Having devoted 51 years to the practice, he specializes in the care of mental health patients and has treated patients through a variety of methods depending on each individual case. Dr. Deeney treats conditions like depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, insomnia, ADD, and other mental illnesses.
In light of his academic achievements, Dr. Deeney obtained his Medical Degree from the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Medicine in 1960. Shortly thereafter, he went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Health System, as well as a residency in psychiatry at the University of Michigan Health System.
