Dr. Stern attended City University of New York for a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology with honors. He then attended New York University School of Dentistry, earning a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. He went on to serve in the U.S. Navy, in the Philadelphia Regional Dental Center for two years.
A frontrunner in his field, Dr. Stern remains aware of changes in his field through affiliations with the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
In recognition of career achievements, Dr. Stern received a U.S. Patent in 1995 for developing a method to fabricate dental crowns and bridges with porcelain on metal.
