As a seasoned and trusted board-certified Urologist, Dr. Mourtzinos has been devoted to providing quality care for the past 20 years. He is well-versed in male and female incontinence and pelvic reconstructive surgery and utilizes his expert knowledge to properly diagnose and treat patients at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts. Alongside his role as a Urologist, he serves as Director of the Continence Center, Vice-chairman of the Institute of Urology, and Vice-Chair of Physician Compensation. Dr. Mourtzinos continues to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity and build positive long-lasting relationshipswith his patients.
To prepare for his acclaimed career, Dr. Mourtzinos completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Medical Science and Economics in 1995. Following this, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Boston University School of Medicine in 1999. He went on to complete the Urology Residency Program at the same institution. Furthering his studies, he graduated from Babson College – Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business where he received his Master of Business Administration Degree in Health and Life Sciences.
Remaining at the forefront of his field, Dr. Mourtzinos has continuously upheld a commitment to the ethical and professional standards of his practice. He stays up-to-date with the latest industry developments and innovations by maintaining active memberships with the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU), and the American Urological Association (AUA). He is also affiliated with Alpha Omega Mason. Additionally, Dr. Mourtzinos is a member of the Board of Trustees for both the Lahey Clinic Foundation and Parkland Medical Center.
When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Mourtzinos enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with his family.
