Fort Meyer, FL – Robert Medvecky is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Retired Top Expert Attorney in the field of Law for the successes he has accrued throughout his career.
An expert in civil litigation and public utility law in the U.S., Mr. Medvecky has had extensive experience practicing law throughout several regions. After admitted to practice in Illinois in 1955, he first offered legal services at Lord, Bissell & Brook from 1955 to 1977. Relocating to Connecticut, he joined Southern New England Telephone Company in New Haven, serving as General Attorney for more than a decade. In 1972, he was admitted to practice in D.C. and shortly after he started working at Amtrak in Washington, D.C; the highlight of his career. He served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary. He was in charge of hiring the legal departments, playing a significant role in developing the nonprofit, privately-owned, publicly-funded company.
An acclaimed lawyer, Mr. Medvecky left Amtrak and served as Partner at Lord, Bissell & Brook in their District of Columbia office, transitioning to New York City where he served as Partner at Reid & Priest from 1978 to 1987 and 1989. He then relocated to Florida and became licensed in 1989. If you ask him to counsel new legal professionals, he recommends that they work hard without cutting any corners, deeming a job completed correctly is superior than a job completed quickly.
To prepare for his career, Mr. Medvecky earned an A.B. from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire in 1952. For legal studies, he earned a J.D. from Harvard University in 1955.
Venerated by his peers, Mr. Medvecky is a member of the Harvard Club in NYC. On account of his accomplishments, he has been recognized multiple times by Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in America. Mr. Medvecky dedicates this recognition with special thanks to his wife Ellen Medvecky, who he has been married to for thirty-three years and shares three children with.
